Localization

Localization is a feature that allows StyleBI to adapt to different language environments, and is implemented for three contexts:

When a user logs into the User Portal, or when an administrator logs into Enterprise Manager, they can specify a locale (language-country combination) that has been defined as described in Register a Locale. Based on the selected locale, the InetSoft server dynamically modifies the interface (Portal tabs, Enterprise Manager tabs, repository tree) as well as Dashboard components (Text elements, Chart axis titles, Table header columns, etc.).

Two independent mapping files are required for localization:

“srinter”

A mapping file that controls localization for interface text in the User Portal and Enterprise Manager (tabs, tree nodes, dialog boxes, etc.).

“SreeBundle”

A mapping file that controls localization for Dashboard text (text in Tables, Charts, etc.) and data model/query names.

The topics in the following sections discuss the contents of these two files, and explain how to register a new locale.
