Manage the Server

Enterprise Manager is a webapp that allows administrators to manage the InetSoft server, and includes features such as monitoring, logging, configuration, file management, and security. Administrator credentials are required to access Enterprise Manager.

Only users who have administrator privileges can change server settings.

Overview

This module contains the following key sections, and is relevant to administrators:

  • Get Started with Enterprise Manager: Learn the basic features of Enterprise manager, which is the InetSoft administration application.

  • Configure Security: Choose a security provider for authentication and authorization, configure multi-tenancy, define users, groups, and roles, and assign permissions.

  • Schedule: Create scheduled tasks to automate the execution of Dashboards, create exports, and send notifications.

  • Advanced Topics: Server environment, localization, caching and storage, CSS, logging, custom maps, and other advanced topics.

  • Automate Admin Tasks: Command line interface for running administrative tasks. This can be useful running batch operations, or in some cases to perform operations when the server is not running.
