Scale.setAxisSpec(spec)
Specifies the axis properties for the Scale. The corresponding “getter” function is Scale.getAxisSpec().
Parameter
- spec
-
an AxisSpec object
Example
Chart Component Script
dataset = [["State", "Quantity"], ["NJ",200], ["NY",300]]; (1)
graph = new EGraph();
var qscale = new LinearScale("Quantity"); (2)
var elem = new IntervalElement("State", "Quantity");
var spec = new AxisSpec(); (3)
spec.setLineColor(java.awt.Color(0xff0000));
qscale.setAxisSpec(spec); (4)
graph.setScale("Quantity", qscale); (5)
graph.addElement(elem);
| 1 | See dataset to use a data block instead of an array literal. |
| 2 | Create the Scale object. |
| 3 | Create the AxisSpec object. |
| 4 | Use setAxisSpec to assign the AxisSpec to the Scale. |
| 5 | Use EGraph.setScale(field, scale) to assign the Scale to the Chart. |

Script that modifies the graph or dataset properties should be placed on the Chart component itself. See Add Component Script for more information. This script has access to the Chart data and Chart API methods. Scripted Charts are not good candidates for user-modification, so you should deselect ‘Enable Ad Hoc Editing’ in the Chart Properties dialog box.
